Never lose hope in a better tomorrow. This may very well the ultimate definition of grit.
Faith, on the other hand, has been very hard to digest. Coming from a country with strong religious tendency among the citizens - and with various flavors some more - I have always been reluctant to ultimately accept that there is only one way to heavenly perfection.
I still hesitant, but I've come to accept that I'm now part of a religious organization, and part of that culture, and may as well be considered as a soldier of faith of that particular religion.
The story of Maccabeean revolt has been coming to mind lately, especially about the woman and her 7 children. Will I be willing to do that in the same circumstances? In this kind of modern times? Why do we keep the faith? Does it have any use anymore?
