A.bout Lone.li.ness + low.se.lf.es.teem
True loneliness comes from inability to open up & share stories.
We tend to blame the lonely and persuade them to crack their shells. We sometimes never really care about the story behind. Who knows? Perhaps abandonment, betrayal, extreme sadness make permanent marks in their souls.
Low self-esteem sucks: If you hate yourself that much, it reflects back to the people around you. They might start to hate you even though they don't want to.

O those missionaries...
InterReligious Task Force on Central America
This is the story of 3 nuns & 1 layperson, they were all missionaries, they were raped & murdered in El Salvador on 1980. The news hit hard in US at that time and produced several important US foreign policies to South Americas.
Jean Donovan - 1 of the ladies
Jean received a masters degree in business administration from Case Western Reserve University, then took a job as management consultant for an accounting firm in Cleveland. She was on her way to a successful business career.
"I'm 26 years old. I should be married. I shouldn't be running around doing all of these things. But then I think, I've got so many things I want to do. It's hard when I see my friends getting married and having babies, that's something I've thought about...am I ever going to have kids? Sometimes I wonder if I'm denying that to myself. I really don't want to, but that's maybe what I'm doing. And then I sit there and talk to God and say, why are you doing this to me? Why can't I just be your little suburban housewife? He hasn't answered yet."
Why do evil exist? Those men who raped & killed those nuns, what were they thinking? Following orders?
Oscar Romero once said that those who really care for the poor must undergo the same fate as them -> kinda hard isn't it? Do I REALLY care?
*looking at an imaginary, grass-chewing camel* sigh.. so u probably can enter the Kingdom of God easier than me eh?
Hm.. one more off-topic thing:
"If babies are to develop successfully, they will become men. Otherwise they will become women when they are born." -> What do u think?

The Basic Laws of Human Stupidity
The Basic Laws of Human Stupidity
A stupid person is a person who causes losses to another person or to a group of persons while himself deriving no gain and even possibly incurring losses.
It would be a profound mistake to believe the number of stupid people in a declining society is greater than in a developing society. Both such societies are plagued by the same percentage of stupid people. The difference between the two societies is that in the society which performs poorly:
a)the stupid members of the society are allowed by the other members to become more active and take more actions;
b) there is a change in the composition of the non-stupid section with a relative decline of populations of areas I, H1 and B1 and a proportionate increase of populations H2 and B2.
There is such thing as people doing stupid irrational things which cause major damage and no gain.

Crab & Frog r friends
There's this village in Philippines. They love to eat crabs. The crabs are usually tiny and easy to catch. Even though they are small, but the meat are really tasty.
Once they're caught, they put it in big bucket. No need to tie them. Why?
The crabs will surely try their hardest to get out of the bucket. But here's the thing. If one of them almost got away, the other crabs will pull it back to the bucket. And so on until the villagers are ready to cook em.
Moral of the story - Don't shoot somebody down if s/he succeed. The envy will kill us all instead of help each other to safety.
How do you cook frogs without making them jump? Don't boil the water first & put the frog in, it surely jump of shock. But if you put the frog in the water first, and then slowly cook it, the frog wouldn't jump.
Moral of the story - Don't be like the frog. LOL. Seriously, be very aware of your surroundings all the time.

Think Different Poem
Think Different Poem
Think Different (Apple Computer Ad Campaign)
Here’s to the crazy ones.
The round pegs in the square holes.
The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules.
And they have no respect for the status quo. You can praise them, disagree with them, quote them,
disbelieve them, glorify or vilify them.
About the only thing you can’t do is ignore them.
Because they change things.
They invent. They imagine. They heal.
They explore. They create. They inspire.
They push the human race forward.
Maybe they have to be crazy.
How else can you stare at an empty canvas and see a work of art?
Or sit in silence and hear a song that’s never been written?
Or gaze at a red planet and see a laboratory on wheels?
We make tools for these kinds of people.
While some see them as the crazy ones,
we see genius.
Because the people who are crazy enough to think
they can change the world, are the ones who do.
